2013 Apr 25

On March 1, Accounting Major Abbey Degitz of Westminster, MD was inducted to the prestigious Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges Program. As a student in good academic standing with a GPA above a 3.0, Abbey was nominated because of the strong sense of leadership and record of service to the university and the greater community.

This group of Stevenson students represents a diverse range of majors from the Junior and Senior Class. Each inductee was individually nominated by a faculty or staff member at Stevenson and has made an impact on the campus and the greater community. The Who's Who Celebration brought students, faculty, staff, and parents together to celebrate the achievements of these students. A keynote address from Dr. Jim Salvucci, Dean of the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, shared Albert Einstein's quote, "not everything that counts can be counted, and not everything that is counted counts." He challenged the students to continue to be strong leaders on our campus and make an impact on this world.
