Alison Kagel from Turnersville, NJ earns All-Conference honors

Entering the postseason strong and finishing with a school record of 12 wins, the Stevenson field hockey team has five players earn All-Conference honors, including Alison Kagel from Turnersville, NJ.

The five players include:

  • Caitlin Dempsey (first team): senior forward earns first team honors along with being selected as the Player of the Year voted on by the leagues coaches. Dempsey led the league with 55 points, ranking tied for third with 21 goals and fourth with 13 assists. This season, she set the record for points, goals and assists in one season. She is tied for first on the team and second in the conference with five game winning goals.
  • Alison Kagel (second team): senior forward had a career year, setting new career records with 39 points and 18 goals. Kagel also tied her career best with three assists. She totaled five game-wining goals, tying for first on the team and second in the conference.
  • Meg Gill (second team): senior defensive player totaled seven points on seven assists. Gill totaled a career-high two assists twice, ending the season with three assists in the last four games.
  • Ariella Hopp (second team): senior midfielder posted 10 points on two goals and six assists along with totaling two defensive saves. She also tied her career-high with four points on one goal and two assists.
  • Gabriella Brooks (honorable mention): sophomore goalkeeper finished with a 10-7 record in goals this season, posting 101 saves. She totaled at least eight saves in eight games this year.
