Ashton Leschke, From Columbia, PA, is Named to the MAC All-Academic Team

Stevenson University football player Ashton Leschke, is one of three players named to the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) All-Academic Team. The team is comprised of 22 players from across the MAC's 17 schools.

In order to be nominated for this honor, a student-athlete must have completed their championship season with a GPA of at least 3.20 during that semester, while having displayed excellent athletic ability.

Mike Datu was a MAC Second Team selection, having finished third on the team in tackles with 59. He also posted six pass breakups and four interceptions, and was named MAC Defensive Player of the Week during the season.

Ashton Leschke was selected as a First Team All-Conference and CoSIDA Academic All-District Team member during the season, leading him to being one of only two sophomores, out of 17 schools, named to the All-Academic team. Leschke led the Mustangs this season in tackles with 88, while also being named MAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Billy Lewis led the team this season with six interceptions, while also claiming the title of First Team All-MAC player for the second-straight season. Lewis also was named to D3football.com Team of the week during his successful season.
