Burtonsville, MD Resident and Women's Track and Field Team Member, Christyna Falden Puts on Outstanding Performance at Paul Kaiser Classic

Biology major Christyna Falden is one of the Stevenson University women's track and field team members to put on an outstanding performance during the Paul Kaiser Classic. At the event hosted by Shippensburg, the Mustangs broke four school records.

Freshman Brittany Appleby broke her own school record with a time of 5:00.61 in the 1500m run, finishing the event in 13th place overall. Sophomore Claudia Lohr also broke her own previous school record in the 3000m steeplechase, finishing with a time of 12:56.78, just 11 seconds faster than her previous record. Senior Monee Hill completed the 100m dash in 12th place, crossing the line at a time of 13.13 seconds. She also participated in the 200m dash, where she earned a time of 26.88 seconds. Josephine Adutwum broke her own school record in the 400m dash with an impressive time of 1:02.57. She ran her personal best for the 200m dash in 27.08 seconds, while also taking 15th place in the 100m dash with a time of 13.23 seconds.

Freshman Monica Pozuc set a new school record in the discus, throwing a distance of 29.29m. Senior Christytna Falden landed in 17th place in the shot put event with a toss of 10.25m. Rebecca Moore also placed in the shot put event, coming in 20th with a throw of 10.10m.
