Business Communication major Kristen Brooks from Wilmington, DE Named to MAC Academic All-Conference Team

Kristen Brooks , a Business Communication major from Wilmington, DE, was one of the two Mustangs named to the MAC All-Conference Volleyball Team. Brooks and her teammate Samantha Perillo were two of the 10 players named to the second annual MAC Academic All-Conference Team.

To be nominated for Academic All-Conference, a student-athlete must be of sophomore status or higher, maintain at least a 3.2 GPA and compete in the season for which they are being honored.

Brooks owns a 3.65 GPA as a Business Communication major. Not only was she named to the All-Commonwealth Conference First Team, but she was also named to the MAC Fall Academic Honor Roll. Brooks finished second on the team and 10th in the conference with 289 kills while ranking second on the team with 276 digs.

"These recipients represent the true meaning of a student-athlete," said MAC Executive Director, Ken Andrews. "This is one of the top conference awards we give out each season. It honors our student-athletes who excel both in the classroom and on the playing field."
