Cape May Court House resident Lauren Novsak is Honored With the Emerging Leader of the Year Award.

Stevenson University freshman Business Communication major Lauren Novsak, was recognized asthe recipient of the 2015-2016 Emerging Leader Award during the clubs and organizations banquet.

The Emerging Leader award recognizes a first year student that has demonstrated exemplary leader and commitment to the values of Stevenson during his or her first year of college.

Those whom nominated her wrote: "She is an amazingly dedicated, passionate, committed, rock star on our campus. In her first seven months on campus she has involved herself in a variety of campus organizations including the Freshman Class Council, 47 House, the PR Committee for the SGA, and the SGA School of Design Senator. Next year she will be the SGA Sophomore Class Representative and an RA. Additionally, she is a Student Assistant in the Student Engagement Office. She actively seeks opportunities to get involved, meet new students, and most importantly make a positive mark on our campus. I am thrilled to have her work in my office because she will help be a driving force in the work we can accomplish. Given her variety of campus involvements, she will be able to reach a broad range of students and be in the loop for the pulse of our campus community. I am confident that she will consistently push for positive change on our campus during her next few years at Stevenson. I will not be surprised at all when she is holding top leadership positions at Stevenson in the next few years."
