Clinton, MD Resident, Devonte Williams is Recognized for Outstanding Season

Stevenson University football junior Devonte Williams, has been awarded two weekly honors after completing a successful regular season. Williams has been named Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Offensive Player of the Week and to D3football.com Team of the Week.

Williams was named MAC Player of the Week after the 48-25 win over FDU Florham. Williams, who normally plays as a wide receiver, played as the running back in the game against FDU Florham where he set the single-game record with 298 rushing yards. He completed three touchdowns, and achieved the seventh-highest single game total of rushing yards in the Division III. This game helped the Mustangs achieve a season total of 460 rushing yards, breaking the school record.

Williams is the third Mustang to be selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week, and was selected after being honored as MAC Player of the Week.
