Curtis McInnis from District Heights, MD competes in Bow Tie Classic

Curtis McInnis of District Heights, MD competed in the track & field Bow Tie Classic hosted by Ursinus College. The results of the season opening event are below:

• Kyle Rudman: Making his collegiate debut in the long jump, Rudman had a leap of 5.97m to take 11th place overall. Rudman finished 38th place in the 60m event with a time of 7.61 seconds.
• Seun Omolana: Jumped 5.88m to finish 16th in the long jump and had a 60m dash with a time of 7.39 seconds, which put him in 21st place overall.
• Curtis McInnis: Had a top 25 finish in the shot put with a throw of 10.48m.
• 4x200m Relay Team (Rudman, Omolana, Adam Diabagate and Denzel Seisay): Took 15th place with a combined time of 1:42.76
• 4x400m Relay Team (Seisay, Diabagate, Nate Niederhofer and Michael Skaro): Took 16th place overall with a combined time of 4:01.91.

Rudman's long jump and Omolana's long jump and 60m dash qualified them both for the MAC Indoor Championships.

The next event for the track & field Mustangs will be on Saturday, January 10 at the Father Diamond Invitational, hosted by George Mason.
