Devonte Williams of Clinton, MD is Named USTFCCCA All-Region Performer

May 26, 2016: Stevenson University men's track and field team member Devonte Williams has been selected as an All-Region performer by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA), for his achievements in both the 100 and 200 meter dash.

In order to qualify as an All-Region selection, an athlete must be ranked in the top five of an individual event in their region, or be part of the top three with a relay team.

During the MAC Championship, Williams captured first place in the 100 and 200 meter dash events, with times of 10.90 and 21.80 seconds. This is the third year in a row that he has won both events. His placement on the 4x100 relay team helped them achieve a first place standing during the MAC Championship.

In addition to this honor, Williams was also named MAC Co-Men's Track Athlete of the Year.
