Emily Ringenbach of Arnold, MD, Earns Oustanding Leader of the Year Award.

2016 Jul 11

Stevenson University Applied Math major Emily Ringenbach was chosen as the 2015-2016 recipient of the Outstanding Leader of the Year award.

This award salutes a leader on campus who has given dedication and had a significant impact on the organizations he or she was involved in and demonstrated a commitment to the values of Stevenson.

Those who nominated her wrote:

"To say this person is involved on campus would be an understatement. Those who know her would say that she is constantly running around, and at times can do too much, but never lets a thing fall by the wayside. As President of All Natural, she ran the rebranding campaign that got the acapella group back on the map, while keeping the group organized and participating in events and rehearsals. As Secretary of the English Club, she has helped organize countless Open Mic events, and the always popular Halloween Party in October. As a member of the Q Group, she has helped plan and orchestrate events such as Drag-U-Cation, and Queer Talents. Additionally, as a student ambassador in the Office of Multicultural Affairs, she was in charge of running this year's production of the Vagina Monologues.

One student stated, "She basically dedicates all of her time on making Stevenson events the best that they can be. I am certain that her leadership skills will carry on in her career and all the great things she will do."

Whenever she is asked to help on an event or campus initiative, she meets a new opportunity with enthusiasm and willingness to do anything to make sure it's successful. She truly has a passion for Stevenson University and campus life."

Congratulations Emily!
