Harrisburg, PA resident Gregory St. Clair participates in annual Stevenson's Got Talent show

2014 Oct 22

As part of the Founder's Day celebration at Stevenson University, Stevenson's Got Talent allows students to show off their talents through performances on stage in front of students, faculty, staff, friends and family. The show was on October 1, 2014 at the Inscape Theatre. Gregory St. Clair was just one of the 14 acts chosen after competitive auditions were held.

Cash prizes were awarded for the winners of the show. The first place performance earned $750, the second place performance earned $500 and the third place performance earned $250. Performances ranged from singing to dancing to beatboxing. Here is the list of the performers and their respective acts:

  • VEK and Theo B (Tariq Clark and Theodore Booker performing an original rap - One Obstacle)
  • Jennifer Vallecanas & Lilia Hernandez (Singing Little Me by Little Mix, a capella)
  • Jordan Browning (Dancing to Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey)

  • The UniversiTones (Shane Messick, Allison Sengstacke, Elaina Owens, and Jacob Baker singing Bang Bang by Jessica J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minah, with accompaniment)

After all of the acts performed, the audience filled out a ballot, voting for their favorite three acts. While the votes were being tallied, Eric O'Shea, a comedian who performed a skit at the 2009 Creative Emmy Awards and has been nominated six times for the National College Comedian of the Year, kept the audience laughing with his comedic skits, including his famous one titled, "Songs For Commercials." He also MCed the event, adding a comedic, light element to the show.

Congratulations Gregory and to the rest of the participants!
