Kimberly Parks, From Glen Burnie, MD, is Named Anne Arundel County Fair Queen

2016 Nov 7

Stevenson University freshman Kimberly Parks is named the 64th Anne Arundel County Fair Queen. Parks has participated in the contest two times previously where she had placed second runner-up.

Parks said "It's just amazing, after trying so long, to be able to get involved in the fair more than just coming here as a spectator," of her experience in the competition. She was presented with $500 cash as well as the crown and sash.

In orde to even be a part of the competition, a girl must between the ages of 16 and 20, have a GPA of at least 2.5, and have been a resident of the county for at least one entire year.

The judges look at the contestant's overall character in addition to their involvement in school activities and their amount of volunteer work.

While working on school as a full-time student, she will also be working as a fair ambassador. Parks's will pose a role model for younger girls while making vivits to events throughout Anne Arundel county.

Congratulations Kimberly
