Laura Carey from Westminster, MD has been inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor's Society in Education

On October 11th, 2014, Laura Carey was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the International Honor's Society in Education, along with 27 other students.

As members of the Psi Omicron chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, these students have not only shown good academic standing within their junior year of college, but they have also dedicated time and effort to give back to the community through various education initiatives.

To become part of Kappa Delta Pi, students must meet the following academic requirements:

• Junior majoring in Early Childhood, Elementary, or Middle School Education
• At least 12 credits earned in an education program
• 3.4 GPA or higher

In addition to these academic requirements, members must also participate in education programs both on and off campus. Such programs include tutoring, assisting in daycare, and facilitating initiatives for local libraries.
