Robert Wingert, From Hanover Township, PA, is Recognized by CoSIDA

May 12, 2016:Robert Wingert is one of two Stevenson University student-athletes to be honored as a CoSIDA Academic All-District team selection. Women's golf sneior Alicia Greene, and senior men's volleyball player Rob Wingert are selected to their All-District At-Large Teams.

In order to be recognized for this honor, a student-athlete must be at least of sophomore standing and start on a varsity collegiate sports team, while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.30.

Greene, with a current GPA of 3.97 as a Biochemistry major, has been named MAC Senior Scholar-Athlete for women's golf and was the female recipient of the Dean Dawson Award, honoring her outstanding academic achievements. Greene has lead the mustangs to two straight MAC Championships, as well as back-to-back NCAA appearances. After a successful season, she tied for second place in the conference championship which earned her First Team All-Conference Honors.

Wingert holds a GPA of 3.56 as a Business Administration major. During this season he has been named to the AVCA Second Team All-America, CVC Player of the Year, and NCAA Division III Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the 2015-2016 year. Wingert helped lead his team to the NCAA Division III Semifinals, while ranking forth nationally in assists per set with 10.77.
