Shelby Walter from Spring Grove, PA Helps Mustangs Win First-Ever Women's Lacrosse Conference Title

With the combined efforts of Shelby Walter and her teammates, the women's lacrosse team rallied to claim the first-ever Commonwealth Conference title. The second seeded-Mustangs won against top-seeded Messiah Falcons at Anderson field, 13-12.

The win allowed the Mustangs (13-5) to claim its first-ever conference championship title in just its second appearance. The Mustangs received an automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Stevenson, who has won 12 of its last 13, outshot Messiah 15-12 in the second half and also totaled seven of the 12 draw controls. The Mustangs will play SUNY Geneseo on May 10 at Saratoga Field, N.Y. in the second round.
