Stevenson Swim Team Member Elizabeth Kamosa from Tall Timbers, MD competed in an outstanding season that led to the first ever Swim Team MAC Championship.

Stevenson University men's and women's swim teams had an outstanding first season. Both teams competed in the Diamond City Invitational where they put on an excellent performance resulting in a combined 31 points during the event. The Mustangs wrapped up their season by sending a combined five members to the MAC Championship.

The Mid Atlantic Conference Championship was held at Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pennsylvania. The women's team members that attended were: Adrianna Kamosa, Alison Smith, Katherine Bateman, and Megan Grieshaber. The sole men's team member Zachary Cather also attended the MAC Championship.

During day one of the event, the women's 800 freestyle relay team of Krista McGowen, Laurel Kamosa, Adrianna Kamosa and Elizabeth Kamosa, competed and placed 10th overall with a finishing time of 9:49.60. At the conclusion of day one the Mustangs accumulated 14 points landing them in 11th place overall.

Session three of the event included the women's 400 yard medley relay. The team of Alison Smith, Megan Grieshaber, Adrianna Kamosa and Laurel Kamosa took 11th place in that event. Moving up in rank, the Mustangs claimed 12th place overall after session three with a total of 26 points. These same women took on the 200 yard freestyle relay event and the 400 yard freestyle relay. They completed the 200 yard relay with a time of 1:51.73, which landed them in 11th place and earned them 12 points. They finished the 400 yard relay with a time of 4:04.15, earning them 10th place in the event.

Zachary Cather competed in the 100 yard freestyle event where he claimed 28th place overall, and beat his own personal record with a time of 50.95.

The Mustangs closed out their first season at the MAC Championship with a total of 52 points, and finishing in 12th place. Congratulations Elizabeth on a great first season!
