Stevenson University Baseball Player Ian Eberly, From Harrisonburg, VA, is Recognized for Outstanding Performance this Season

May 5, 2016: Stevenson University baseball player Ian Eberly is one of four Mustangs to be recognized for outstanding performance on the field. Seniors Ian Eberly, Alec Romanowski, Craig Joseph, and Matt Myers are recognized as MAC Commonwealth All-Conferene Team members.

Eberly, an outfielder, was chosen as a first team selection, as well as being named MAC Player of the Week. He leads the team with a batting average of .358, achieving a home run, 28 runs batted in, and 37 runs batting. He holds second place for runs scored in the league, and sits in ninth place for batting average, and tenth in runs batted in. Eberly also had the honor of being named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District 2, for showing outstanding performances both on the field and in the classroom.

Romanowski, Joseph, and Myers were all slected to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team. Romanowski, a pitcher, earns this honor for the third season in a row, after being selected as pitcher of the week two times this season alone. He holds a run average of 3.79 and 49 strikeouts. For the second time in his career, Joseph earns the honor of second team selection. He has a batting average of .338, with 32 runs batted in and three home runs. Myers has a single home run and 14 runs batted in this season, totaling a batting average of .290.
