Stevenson University would like to recognize Biotechnology major Susannah Hoblitzell for traveling to Eastern Europe with 21 other students for an upper division photography course (Photo 480).

Led by photography professors Carol Cornwell and Jefferson Steele, students had the opportunity to explore and photograph a number of cities in Eastern Europe including Budapest, Krakow, Prague, and Vienna.

Some highlights of the trip included seeing the Fisherman's Bastion in Budapest, Glowny Square in Krakow, St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague, and the Opera House in Vienna.

Students have taken images from the trip to produce their own portfolio and plan to participate in a group show in the spring of 2015.

"Studying abroad is an especially valuable experience for students as it opens them to world views and unparalleled experiences," says professor Carol Cornwell. "While words cannot describe all that we see, we have photography, the universal language."
