Stevenson University Biochemistry major Sydnie Washington, has been elected the Student Government Association Sophomore Class Representative for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Their mission statement:

"The mission of the Student Government Association (SGA) is to serve as an active representation of the student voice to the faculty, staff, and administration; we advocate for the incorporation of student views and opinions in the formulation of policies and procedures governing Stevenson University. We provide funding and management to student clubs on campus in order to form a sense of community. We strive to improve the quality of students' experience through the exchange and development of ideas of the diverse community of Stevenson University."
