Tara Shishmanian of Baltimore, MD volunteers in Haiti with Angel Wings International

Tara Shishmanian spent a week in Jacmel, Haiti in November with Angel Wings International, an organization that helps improve the health of those who are underserved in Haiti.

While in Haiti, Tara helped to renovate the storage units at the medical clinic that was being created by sanding, painting, building shelving units and organizing medical materials. Additionally, she visited the Christ Love Center (CLC), interacting with families and children and giving them collected donations. While in Haiti, Tara got to experience the Haitian culture, often working with Haitians on site and connecting with them. Not only did Tara help with renovations, but she also helped coordinate the trip and assisted with fundraising efforts to enable other volunteers to participate on the trip.
