Congratulations to Virginia Williams from Churchville, MD, a member of the Stevenson University 2014 Field Hockey team. Under fourth year head coach, Laurel Martin, the team finished the season 15-7 overall and 4-3 in the conference.

With a season average of 3.0 goals per game out of 22 games, the Mustangs advanced to the postseason for the first time in school history, earning the seventh seed in the 2014 Division III ECAC South Field Hockey Championship. In the first round of the tournament, the Mustangs posted a 1-0 overtime victory against second-seeded Muhlenberg, which marked the first postseason victory in the program's 20 year-history. In the semifinal round against Lebanon Valley, the team outscored the Dutchmen to advance to the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championship. In the championship game, the Mustangs claimed the 2014 ECAC Division III Mid-Atlantic Field Hockey Championship in double overtime led by Most Outstanding Player, Caitlin Dempsey, who was also named Player of the Year.

In addition to their championship accomplishment, the team had five Mustangs named to All-Conference (Caitlin Dempsey, Alison Kagel, Meg Gill, Ariella Hopp, Gabriella Brooks) with Caitlin Dempsey also earning First Team NFHCA All-South Region Honors.
