Westland, MI resident, Chelsea Blackburn is Named Player of the Week

February 8, 2016: Stevenson University women's ice hockey player, Chelsea Blackburn is named Colonial Hockey Conference Player of the week for the second time this season. She is the team's fourth player of the week selection this season, and was chosen after leading the team to a conference sweep.

Blackburn tied the single season record of 25 points during the first game of the weekend. During game two, she totaled one assist and two goals, breaking the single season record. Blackburn leads the team with nine goals this season, and achieved her fourth career shorthanded goal.

Blackburn has a career total of 53 points, tying for second in program history. She also has 37 career goals, which puts her in first place.
