Wilmington, DE Resident and Stevenson Women's Track and Field Member, Sherrie Wallace Gives Excellent Performance at Crusader Classic

Wallace, a team member of the Stevenson University women's track and field team, participated in the Crusader Classic track and field event. This event was held at Susquehanna, where freshmen Brianne Lindstrom and Brittany Appleby broke multiple school records.

Lindstrom previously held the school record for the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.90 seconds, she broke her own record by.01 seconds landing her in 10th place in the event overall. She also competed in the 400m dash where she earned ninth place with a time of 1:09.88. Appleby finished ninth overall in the 3000m run, breaking another school record with a time of 11:38.95.

Junior Lanie Stewart ran the 800m finishing with a time of 2:34.96 resulting in her winning her heat, and placing 11th overall. Due to such a great performance, Stewart has earned a spot to compete in the MAC Indoor Championships.

Monee Hill, Josephine Adutwum, and TaKera Smalley all ran the 200m dash, and all placed within the top 15. Hill was awarded ninth place after crossing the line with a time of 28.31 seocnds. Adutwum ran a time of 28.63 seconds leading her to 11th place, and Smalley came in 13th place by completing the dash in 28.84 seconds.

Sherrie Wallace, and Christyna Falden took 10th and 11th place in shot put with distances of 9.73 meters and 9.69 meters. In the mile run event, Claudia Lohr finished 15th with a time of 6:06.92.
